Hong Kong - Brazil air route suggestion

A revised suggestion of Hong Kong - Brazil air route suggestion is made after reading comments on the 1st edition of the air route.

This new air route would have routing of Hong Kong -> Los Angeles -> Rio De Janeiro -> Sao Paolo -> Los Angeles -> Hong Kong, having frequency of 1 flight per week, operated by Cathay Pacific & VARIG.

Such routing allows more passengers per flight while not causing unfairness to passengers going to either Rio De Janeiro or Sao Paolo.

If passenger amount allows, then there would be a route of Hong Kong -> Los Angeles -> Sao Paolo -> Rio De Janeiro -> Los Angeles -> Hong Kong, so to provide 2 flights per week service to the 2 Brazilian cities.

Lucas, is this for real or just your suggestion? When Varig first started HK flight, they initially planned Rio-Nairobi-HK, but rerouted through Rio-Jo'burg-Bangkok-HK. IMO this is not very practical, any flight with more than one stop means you're wasting too much time on landing/take-off plus landing charge.

BTW, this is my first post and you've started some really good thread and can't believe no one is posting.
