&lt;P&gt;They should be able to give you better advice.&lt;/P&gt;</description></item><item><title>what else can i do/improve to better my chances at getting into the Air Force Academy?</title><link>http://www.jets.dk/cs/forums/thread/8565.aspx</link><pubDate>Wed, 11 Nov 2009 06:37:42 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">a23efcf1-9e75-4ff9-be18-cd9cb68b9485:8565</guid><dc:creator>death2ignorance</dc:creator><slash:comments>0</slash:comments><comments>http://www.jets.dk/cs/forums/thread/8565.aspx</comments><wfw:commentRss>http://www.jets.dk/cs/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=34&amp;PostID=8565</wfw:commentRss><description>hi people who have more knowledge than me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm trying to get into the usafa but i decied on this rather late about the begining of my junior year(this school year). since then i have joined Civil Air Patrol and am due for my first promotion next meating. i am also a freshmen mentor in our schools mentoring club and i plan on running for an office next year. i also submitted an aplication to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters foundation to become a BIG and i see no reason why i would be declined. i work twenty hours a week at a local resturant and have done so for almost a year and a half(i held two jobs at one point at another resturant but do not anylonger) i have served fifty-six hours and thrity-two minutes of community service through the Salvation army and i hope to serve more through the local animal shelter. i played baseball my freshmen year and plan on going out for track this year since i beleive i can make varisty in track. my grades are probably my weakest point i had only a 3.0 (unweighted) my freshmen year a 3.2(UW) my sophmore year and im looking at about a 3.4 (UW) this year. however i am, and always have been, in the hardest classes i can take in math, science and history and get grades of B,A,A respectively. i also have four teachers and my boss writing letters of recomendations for me. however i dont know if there is a limit to how many i am allowed to have or if there is a point where it just becomes redundant. i also plan on applying to take the summer seminar this summer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so my question is what are my chances at being accepted?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;what can i do to better those chances?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;where do i go from here?</description></item></channel></rss>
