How to get Fighters?

I am currently beginning the application process to become an Air Force pilot and I am familiar with the process of getting a pilot slot. My question is what do I do once I've been accepted to get fighters? I've heard of ENJJPT and that it guarantee's fighters, but I imagine it is hard to get into. How do you go about applying for a spot in ENJJPT and what do they look for in candidates? So if the ENJJPT doesn't work out then I have to go to UPT and do well to be at the top of my class (typically 6 out of 24 get fighters). So what do I need to do in UPT to ensure I'm in the top 25% and get fighters? Also what happens if I end up not getting fighters? Are there opportunities to switch into fighters after flying a tanker or airlift for part of my career? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can give me.
