These displays are now readily available. The Vishay Dale number for this display is PD-20D025-5 and a data sheet updated March 12, 2012 is available at:

This part number is the exact one that I found on my MK-12D display and the data sheet states these are Replacement for former Narco Avionics 50401-1.

I found these parts in stock at Digi-Key at:

On June 23, 2012 they had 35 in stock for $135 each. At this price I might buy a spare.

Hey Roy. I am looking for a faceplate assy for an AT-150. The part number is 54732-0101. It does not have to look new, but be serviceable.

good luck finding one. The last couple of months that Narco was alive the displays were backordered for about 8 weeks.
You have to figure FAA will probibly not allow work on these units because Narco removed the publications index from the web.

I had the same problem. I got a new display from Western Avionics in Spokane Washington, Felts Field. This was done in Nov 2009.
Now I have another problem, it will not transmit....

I have about a dozen Narco MK12 displays. I don't know if there is a difference between the D and E models.
They came from a closed Avionics Repair shop. Most look pretty good, but I have no way of testing them
I will guarantee one that works. If you plug it in and it doesn't take a picture, E-mail it to me, and return in 7 days and I will send you another one...
They list for over $350.

Very few shops will fix Narco anymore or stock parts. I don't know where you are but you can try www.to-avionics.com, they are a Master dealer and stock some parts.

Does anyone know who can supply the gas discharge display unit/units in the NARCO MK12D nav/com?

My display is failing hard to se at night , not so bad by day, but has to be fixed.

I see lots of adverts for the MK12D+ upgrade, but would like to start by trying to repair or replace the display panel.

Or buy a second hand unit which I guess can have same problems.

Does anyoen have a link to the repqir manual for the MK12D or part numbers for the front panel displays?
