So it would be very difficult to choose right aircraft for Canadian North after retirement of existing fleet.

What aircarfts would be suitable for Canadian North? CRJ? B717?

Canadian North was sold to Air NorTerra Inc after the purchase of Canadian by competitor Air Canada. It just has its logo and website (www.cdn-north.com) changed today (7 Sep 2002), thus removing the only ex-Canadian remant. Its IATA code was changed from CP to 5T. Oh poor it is! We can't remember the good old Canadian days!
