    There are many things that different aircraft do to there engines whilst on the ground to keep them in working order. The B-1B for instance while at RIAT kept powering up its engines every 30 minutes and would tick them over. Im sure there is a symple explanation for this. but it will probably all boil down to the fact these messures increase the life of the engine.


    [why the F16A with F100-PW-200 engine must to pull FWD the throttele to full military power and then back to idle only afterwards he can shut down the engine? ]
