All modern fighters have atleast two radios. All aircraft in a package (typical package 40 a/c) will normally use one one frequency for big picture com. It is important that this frequency is only used for very important information, which is a factor to everybody. Normally each little 4 ship has their own frequency to talk on (This freq is used for support within the 4 ship. fx threat call or dogfights).

    Hope that helps

[When the fighters are in the air are all of them on the same communicaton line? for ex., what if two jets are in a dog fight against two other jets. would they be talking to their rear, and not be able to say anything because the other guy is talking?]
