Virgin's GBP1 offer for Concorde fleet!!

    http://www.thecouriermail.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,6275868%255E401,00.html

Richard Branson, the head of Virgin Atlantic, said the airline would consider buying the Concordes, which is going to retire from British Airways' passenger service since Oct 2003, if the price of each Concorde is GBP1 or less.

This may mean Richard Branson is going to make passengers take Concodre again be greatly improving the services.

But I think this decision is not good at all, as Concorde is 27 years old already, and the maintenance cost is extremely high, so it is almost impossible to run profitable Concorde service.

I think it is better for Virgin Atlantic to run aircrafts with full private suite room service like that of luxury trains instead, since such extreme comfort is not provided by competitors, thus a very high fare can be charged while still attracting passengers, and the maintenance cost is lower than Concorde.
