I have civilian flight time, does that help my odds?

I am 28 years old and have 350 hours of civilian time and want to be a fixed wing military cargo pilot.  I also have a 4 year degree in flight operations.  Does this help my odds of getting a pilot slot.  any advice or getting pointed in the right direction would help alot.  thanks

    Yes, it helps a bit.

College grades/degree, leadership experience, etc. are more important for getting into a commissioning program (which you NEED).  Also, do some research into the age limit for pilots in the branch you want...the clock is ticking.
